CONCLUSION

The church, functioning under what has been called the ecclesial dimension of the Kingdom of God, exists in a form of the long anticipated kingdom rule of God, but in a form different from that which the Old Testament saints could have imagined. By seeing the unity between the promises of the New Covenant to Israel, which were to be inaugurated in the fulfillment of the kingdom rule, and the church, receiving the blessings of the New Covenant at the beginning of the kingdom rule, but in an unexpected form, then the larger picture of the program of God can be seen, not only in relation to the present character of the church but also in relation to the future program with Israel. All relationships between believers and God must now take place through the New Covenant, either now in this age prior to the fullness of the Gentiles coming in, which is called the church, or after the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, through the redeemed nation of Israel. In this all the saving work of God through Christ is seen,

For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days says the LORD: I will put My laws upon their heart, and upon their mind I will write them," He then says, "And their sins and their lawless deed I will remember no more." Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.
